Printed Butter Paper
Custom butter paper that is greaseproof, non-stick, and food-safe for wrapping butter, sandwiches, and pastries and lining bakes.
Product Overview
Butter paper is the greaseproof, non-stick workhorse of any kitchen or food counter. Also called greaseproof or parchment paper, it resists grease and moisture so it can wrap butter, line baking trays, separate layers, and wrap sandwiches, pastries, and street food without soaking through or sticking. It has to be genuinely food-safe, hold up to heat for baking uses, and release cleanly so nothing tears. Because it is often the paper a customer unwraps their food from, it is also a natural spot for branding. From bakery lining to a printed burger wrap, butter paper keeps food clean, non-stick, and on-brand.
Our custom butter paper is the greaseproof, non-stick all-rounder for food. In short:
- Greaseproof and moisture-resistant
- Non-stick release for baking and wrapping
- Food-safe and heat-tolerant for the oven
- Wraps butter, sandwiches, pastries, and street food
- Sheets, rolls, and pre-cut wraps
- Printed branding for a wrap customers unwrap

We match the material to the job, drawing on six grades of board: Kraft, Corrugated, Coated Art Board (C1S), Rigid Greyboard, Solid Bleached Sulfate (SBS), and Metallic. Together they span the whole range, kraft for eco-minded artisan brands, heavy greyboard for luxury rigid boxes, and bright SBS for cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and high-end retail packaging. A small business chasing affordable corrugated mailers and a premium label after the weighty snap of a magnetic-closure box draw from the same FSC-certified supply, chosen to look right on shelf, survive transit, and impress at the moment of unboxing.
Finish is the detail customers feel, so we cover every option: soft-touch matte lamination, high-gloss lamination, silk lamination, spot UV coating, gold and silver foil stamping, embossing, debossing, and aqueous coating. Spot UV sets a glossy highlight against matte to steer the eye to your logo; soft-touch lamination gives rigid boxes a velvety surface that says premium before the box is opened. On SBS or coated art paper, foil stamping produces the crisp metallic accents that luxury cosmetic, fragrance, and gifting brands count on to back up their pricing and spark the kind of unboxing people share online.
Paper weight shapes two things at once: how the box sits in the hand and how it fares in transit. We run the whole scale from lightweight 8pt to heavyweight 28pt, using the point system common to US and UK suppliers. For folding cartons and high-volume retail boxes, 8pt–12pt does the job; for most product packaging, 14pt–18pt is the dependable workhorse, strong enough to protect, light enough to keep shipping costs down. And 20pt–28pt brings the rigid, substantial feel that luxury gift boxes, rigid set-up boxes, and premium cosmetic packaging rely on, where the box's weight signals quality before the lid is lifted.
Custom Butter Paper: The Greaseproof, Non-Stick All-Rounder
Butter paper is one of those quiet essentials that a food business uses constantly without thinking about it, and that ubiquity is exactly why it is worth getting right. Also known as greaseproof or parchment paper, it earns its name from its two defining powers: it resists grease and moisture, and it releases cleanly without sticking. Those two properties make it astonishingly versatile. It wraps butter and cheese, lines baking trays and tins, separates layers of pastries and burgers, wraps sandwiches and street food, and lines baskets and boxes, all while keeping food clean and stopping grease from soaking through to hands, boxes, and bags. For a bakery, cafe, deli, or street-food vendor, it is a genuine all-rounder, and because it is often the very paper a customer unwraps their food from, it is also a surprisingly valuable and intimate piece of branding. Good butter paper has to deliver reliable greaseproof, non-stick, food-safe performance across all of those uses.
Greaseproof and moisture-resistant
The core job of butter paper is to hold back grease and moisture, so we build ours with a genuinely greaseproof surface that oil and damp cannot soak through. That keeps grease off hands, boxes, and bags when it is used as a wrap or a liner, so a buttery pastry or a greasy burger stays contained and tidy. That reliable barrier is what makes butter paper so useful across a kitchen, protecting everything the food touches from the grease that would otherwise spread everywhere.
Non-stick release
The other half of butter paper's value is that food does not stick to it, so we build ours to release cleanly for both baking and wrapping. Used as a baking liner, it lets cookies, pastries, and roasts lift off without tearing or leaving residue, saving the bake and the cleanup. Used as a wrap or a layer separator, it peels away from butter, cheese, and sticky pastries without pulling them apart. That clean release is what makes it a joy to use rather than a frustration.
Food-safe and heat-tolerant
Butter paper is in constant direct contact with food and often goes in the oven, so it has to be genuinely food-safe and able to take heat, and we build with food-grade, heat-tolerant paper suited to baking and wrapping. It stands up to oven temperatures for lining trays and tins without scorching or tainting, and it is safe against fatty, moist foods for wrapping. That dual capability, safe hot and cold, is what lets one paper serve the whole kitchen from the oven to the counter.
Endlessly versatile
The reason butter paper is a staple is its versatility, so we supply it for the full range of uses. It wraps butter, cheese, sandwiches, pastries, and street food, lines baking trays, tins, baskets, and boxes, and separates layers so items do not stick together. One reliable paper covers a huge number of jobs across a food business, which simplifies ordering and means a single branded paper can appear throughout the customer's experience, from the kitchen to the wrap in their hand.
Formats for every use
Butter paper is used in many ways, so we supply it in the formats each needs. Pre-cut sheets suit wrapping and layering at speed, rolls suit lining and high-volume use, and pre-cut wraps and squares suit branded sandwich and street-food service. We match the size and weight to your use, so a delicate pastry wrap and a heavy-duty tray liner each get the right paper, keeping performance and presentation consistent.
Formats and options
Butter paper use takes many forms, so we supply for each:
- Pre-cut sheets for wrapping and layering
- Rolls for lining and high-volume use
- Pre-cut wraps for sandwiches and street food
- Basket and box liners
- Plain or fully printed
- Recycled and responsibly sourced options
Branding and sustainability
Because butter paper is often the wrap a customer physically unfolds to reach their food, it is intimate, high-contact brand space, and we print your logo, pattern, or message for a wrap that puts your brand right in the customer's hands. Because food packaging is increasingly judged on waste, recycled and responsibly sourced papers and water-based inks are available for a greener wrap that still performs. Butter paper sits within our wider food and restaurant packaging range and pairs with our food-grade paper and food trays for a full wrapping lineup.
