Vicious Grooming
Beard oil
“Discipline builds victory”

The brief
Vicious Grooming came to Packlic with something more and more founders now bring us: an AI-generated concept. Their beard oil, Vanilla Ember, already had a look they loved, a matte black and gold carton, a lion crest, and the line “discipline builds victory.” What they did not have was a box a printer could actually make.
An AI render is a mood, not a manufacturing file. It shows the brand beautifully, but it has no dieline, no bleed, no real measurements, no CMYK build and none of the compliance copy a grooming product needs on shelf. The brief was simple to say and detailed to execute: keep the concept exactly, and turn it into a real, print-ready box that folds, holds the bottle, and passes retail.

The issues we solved
An AI concept is a picture, not a print file, no dieline, bleed or real measurements.
We rebuilt it as a true dieline at 5 by 2 by 2 inches with bleed and safe zones, plus a die-cut insert that cradles the 2 oz bottle so it does not rattle.
AI artwork is RGB and low-resolution, so it prints muddy and off-colour.
We rebuilt the logo and lion crest as crisp vectors and set the blacks and golds in CMYK, then proofed the colour so the printed carton matches the brand.
A grooming product needs compliant copy the concept skipped.
We added the full INCI ingredients list, directions, net weight, batch-number and address panels and Made in USA, so the box is retail and Amazon ready.
Dieline & structure

Structure. The finished box is a straight tuck-end carton at 5 by 2 by 2 inches, sized to the 2 oz (60 ml) dropper bottle, with a separate die-cut insert (a 1.52 in hole) that locks the bottle in place. It is the same custom tuck box construction we produce for cosmetics and supplements, engineered here for a fragile glass bottle.
Print-ready. Everything the AI concept was missing lives in this file: cut and fold lines, bleed, a glued-area tab, and the compliance panels. If you are taking your own concept to production, our packaging materials guide explains the board and finish choices that affect cost and shelf feel.
Bringing the concept to life
With the structure solved, the art had to earn the “premium” the concept promised. We kept the concept’s palette exactly, matte black with a bright gold lion crest, the “V” monogram, and “discipline builds victory” running up the side panels, so the printed box reads as Vicious from across a shelf.
The back panel is where concept became product. We laid out the benefits icons, the “Vanilla Ember, warm, smooth, bold” descriptor, dosage directions, the full ingredients list, and a batch-number and address block, all balanced in the brand’s type. Every colour was proofed before the run, so the carton that shipped matched the mockup the founder approved.

Production & unboxing

“The entire process was smooth, professional, and easy from start to finish.”
The result is a box that looks exactly like the concept the founder fell in love with, but one that actually folds, protects the bottle, prints true to brand, and passes retail and marketplace rules. From a single AI render, Packlic delivered the dieline, the vector artwork, the compliance panels, a 3D mockup and the production files.
