Sorlet

A custom hat box has one hard job most packaging never faces: it has to protect a soft, wide-brim shape all the way through the postal network and still feel like part of the gift when it lands. Sorlet is the atelier of Valentina Teran, handmade hats and berets sold under the line “Style as unique as your history.” Her customers expect the box to feel as considered as the hat inside it, so a plain shipper was never an option.

Valentina came to Packlic with a shipping problem. Her existing corrugated stock was too thin, hats arrived crushed or dented, and a brown box said nothing about a brand built on craft and ceremony. She needed a single custom hat box that could do two jobs at once: survive the carrier network, and deliver a premium, gift-like unboxing that customers would want to photograph and share.

With the structure solved, the design had to earn the “premium” promise. The artwork carries Sorlet’s own palette of deep emerald and gold: the monogram is foil-stamped on the lid above a die-cut window, and the interior is lined with hand-drawn florals and a personal thank-you note. Opening the box feels like receiving a gift, not collecting a parcel.

Every element was proofed before the run, from the gold-foil placement to the exact emerald ink, so the custom hat box that shipped matched the 3D mockup Valentina signed off. Small touches, like the finger-hole that doubles as a carry point, keep the unboxing effortless without adding cost.
