Plastic Capsule Bottle
HDPE and PET plastic capsule bottles for supplements and pills, with child-resistant caps, induction seals and desiccant slots across 100 to 1000cc sizes.
Product Overview
A plastic capsule bottle has to protect tablets and capsules from moisture, survive a supply chain and pass safety rules, and Packlic builds ours to do all three. We mould them in food-grade HDPE for an opaque moisture barrier or clear PET when a brand wants the count visible, in packer and round styles that run efficiently on a filling line. Sizes are specified in cc, from a 100cc bottle for a 30-count up to a 1000cc value tub, so the pill fits the fill with minimal headspace. Every bottle takes a child-resistant push-and-turn cap, an induction heat seal for tamper evidence, and a desiccant that keeps the capsules dry. Label panels are shaped for clean wrap-around branding.
- Food-grade HDPE for a moisture barrier or clear PET for visible count
- 100cc to 1000cc packer and round bottles sized to the fill
- Child-resistant push-and-turn caps with induction tamper seals
- Desiccant-friendly neck and flat panels for wrap-around labels
Choosing the substrate is the first decision on any project, and we keep six on hand: Kraft Board, Corrugated Board, Coated Art Board (C1S), Rigid Greyboard, Solid Bleached Sulfate (SBS), and Metallic Board. From compostable kraft for artisan and eco brands, to solid greyboard for luxury rigid boxes, to vivid SBS for cosmetics, pharma, and premium retail, there is a grade for every use. Ordering economical corrugated mailers or a magnetic-closure rigid box with real weight to it? Both start from the same pool of FSC-certified materials, selected to look sharp on shelf, ship safely, and land well at unboxing.
Finishing is where a box makes its impression, and we bring every technique to the table: soft-touch matte lamination, high-gloss lamination, silk lamination, spot UV coating, gold and silver foil stamping, embossing, debossing, and aqueous coating. Use spot UV for a gloss-on-matte contrast that pulls focus to your logo, or soft-touch lamination to wrap a rigid box in a velvety feel that reads as premium before it is opened. Foil stamping on SBS or coated art paper supplies the crisp metallic detail cosmetic, fragrance, and gifting brands rely on to support premium pricing and earn unboxing moments worth sharing.
Weight is the quiet detail that decides how a box feels and how it travels, so we carry every option from lightweight 8pt to heavyweight 28pt, graded on the point system shared by US and UK suppliers. Lightweight 8pt–12pt fits folding cartons and high-volume retail boxes neatly. The 14pt–18pt mid-range is the workhorse of product packaging, protective where it counts, still economical to ship. Heavyweight 20pt–28pt gives the rigid, substantial feel that luxury gift boxes, rigid set-up boxes, and premium cosmetic packaging demand, where the heft of the box signals quality before it is even opened.
Custom Plastic Capsule Bottle Options for Supplements
Supplement packaging has to do more than hold pills. It has to keep them dry, prove it has not been opened, and resist a child getting in. Packlic supplies plastic capsule bottles for supplement brands, nutraceutical packers and pharmacies who need compliant, filling-line-ready bottles at wholesale volume.
HDPE and PET Material Choice
The plastic you pick decides how well the product keeps. Food-grade HDPE is the workhorse of supplement packaging: opaque, tough and a strong barrier against the moisture and light that degrade tablets and gummies. Clear PET is the alternative when a brand wants shoppers to see the capsule count and colour, trading a little barrier for visibility. Both are fully recyclable and both mould with consistent neck dimensions, so caps, seals and desiccants seat correctly every time.
Colour is part of the decision too. HDPE moulds in white, black and custom brand colours that block light entirely, which suits probiotics, omegas and other oxidation-sensitive formulas. Amber PET gives partial light protection while keeping a window onto the product, a middle ground many gummy brands prefer. We match colours across a range so a five-SKU line looks like one family on the shelf, and we keep the resin food-grade and free of the additives that could interact with a sensitive formulation.
Sizes, Fill and Headspace
Capsule bottles are sized in cubic centimetres because the right bottle matches the pill count with minimal rattling headspace. Too much empty space breaks tablets in transit and looks under-filled to the customer.
- 100cc and 150cc for 30 to 60-count daily supplements
- 200cc and 250cc for 90 to 120-count capsule ranges
- 500cc for large gummy and protein-capsule counts
- 750cc and 1000cc value and practitioner tubs
Child-Resistant Caps and Closures
Most supplement markets expect child-resistant packaging, and we fit caps that meet it without frustrating adult users. The standard is a push-and-turn CR cap, and we also offer senior-friendly CR options and standard ribbed screw caps where regulations allow. Each cap is matched to the neck finish, commonly a 38mm, 45mm or 53mm, so it torques down to a repeatable seal on your filling line. Flip-top and sport caps are available for powder-in-capsule and effervescent formats.
The cap is also a branding surface people underrate. We supply smooth and ribbed CR caps in white, black and custom colours, with the option to emboss a logo into the top or add a printed liner. Getting the neck and cap engineered together is what guarantees the seal, because a CR mechanism only works reliably when the thread pitch, land and liner are all built to spec. Every cap we ship is tested against its bottle so it clicks, holds and passes the child-resistance standard your market requires.
Induction Seals, Desiccant and Freshness
Protection inside the bottle is what keeps a supplement effective to its expiry date. Packlic specs the components that hold that freshness:
- Induction heat seals that prove tamper evidence and lock out moisture
- Pressure-sensitive liners as a lower-cost seal alternative
- Desiccant canisters or packets that absorb residual humidity
- Cotton coil to stop tablets rattling and chipping in transit
Labelling, Decoration and Compliance
Supplement labels carry a lot of legally required detail, so the bottle has to give that copy a clean home. Our capsule bottles have smooth, near-cylindrical panels sized for wrap-around and front-and-back labels that apply straight on a labelling line. We print in full colour with matte or gloss finishes, and can screen-print directly onto the bottle for a no-label look. There is room for supplement facts panels, batch and expiry coding, barcodes and regulatory marks without crowding the brand artwork.
Wholesale Ordering and Turnaround
Packlic runs plastic capsule bottles as a wholesale programme with a low minimum, so a brand launching a single SKU and a packer running many both fit. Order from an MOQ of 100 units, approve a free 3D mockup of your bottle, cap, seal and label before production, and rely on fast turnaround to keep filling schedules moving. Consistent moulding and matched components mean every reorder runs cleanly on the same line as the last.
