Macaron Boxes
Custom macaron boxes with fitted inserts that cradle each shell, plus windows to show the colors, built for a fragile, premium treat.
Product Overview
Macarons are the most delicate thing a bakery makes and one of the most premium, which makes their packaging genuinely demanding. The shells crack if they are jostled, the filling smears if they slide, and the whole appeal is a neat row of perfect, colorful discs that customers expect to see before they buy. A loose or plain box lets these little luxuries arrive chipped and shifted, which is the fastest way to lose a premium sale.
Our custom macaron boxes are built for that fragility and that price point. We fit inserts that cradle each macaron so it cannot move, add windows that show off the colors, and finish the box to a premium standard, so your macarons arrive as flawless and giftable as they left the kitchen.
The material is where a box earns its reputation, so we build on six industry-grade stocks: Kraft Board, Corrugated Board, Coated Art Board (C1S), Rigid Greyboard, Solid Bleached Sulfate (SBS), and Metallic Board. Each answers a different brief, eco-friendly kraft suits artisan and sustainable brands, dense greyboard carries luxury rigid boxes, and virgin-fibre SBS gives cosmetics, pharma, and premium retail their crisp finish. Need economical corrugated mailers, or the substantial feel of a magnetic-closure rigid box? Either way the FSC-certified stock we select is made to perform on shelf, in transit, and at unboxing.
How a box is finished decides whether it gets noticed or gets remembered. Choose from soft-touch matte lamination, high-gloss lamination, silk lamination, spot UV coating, gold and silver foil stamping, embossing, debossing, and aqueous coating. Spot UV lays a glossy accent over a matte field so your logo catches the light first. Soft-touch lamination wraps rigid boxes in a velvety texture that signals quality the moment they are handled. And foil stamping on SBS or coated art paper brings the sharp metallic shine that cosmetic, fragrance, and gifting brands lean on to support premium pricing and create unboxing moments worth sharing.
Choose the paper weight and you decide both the hand-feel of the box and how well it holds up through the supply chain. Our range covers lightweight 8pt to heavyweight 28pt on the point system standard among US and UK packaging suppliers. Reach for 8pt–12pt on folding cartons and high-volume retail boxes; lean on the 14pt–18pt mid-range as the everyday workhorse, protective yet economical to ship. When a project calls for presence, 20pt–28pt gives the rigid, substantial feel behind luxury gift boxes, rigid set-up boxes, and premium cosmetic packaging, where the weight of the box telegraphs quality before it is even opened.
Custom Macaron Boxes for a Fragile, Premium Treat
Macarons sit at the top of the bakery counter and at the top of the difficulty scale for packaging. Each one is a pair of thin, brittle shells around a soft filling, so they crack under pressure, chip if they knock together, and smear if they slide or tip. They are also a visual, premium product, usually bought as a gift or a treat, where the appeal is a neat, colorful row of perfect discs. That means the box has an unusually high bar to clear: total protection for something extremely fragile, and a presentation worthy of the price. Anything less and a beautiful, expensive product arrives looking broken.
Inserts that cradle every macaron
Protection here comes down to the insert. We build inserts with individual wells or dividers sized precisely to your macarons, so each one sits in its own cradle and cannot roll, knock, or press against the next. The macarons stay separated and still from our floor to the customer's hands, which is the only way to guarantee that a delicate shell arrives intact rather than cracked.
Show off the colors
Half the magic of macarons is the color, the pastel spectrum lined up in a row, so hiding them in a closed box wastes the display. We build in windows and clear lids that show the macarons off while keeping them protected, which is especially powerful for gift boxes and counter sales. For a more luxurious, sealed look, a closed rigid box with strong print works, but for most macaron sales, seeing them sells them.
Freshness and food safety
Macarons are sensitive to humidity, which can soften the shell and ruin the texture, so packaging plays a role in keeping them right. We use food-grade materials and can advise on closures and inners that protect against moisture, so the macaron keeps its signature crisp-then-chewy bite from the counter to the moment it is eaten.
Styles for gifts and counters
Macarons sell in specific ways, so we build for them:
- Row and grid insert boxes for 6, 12, and larger counts
- Single and small-count gift boxes
- Window and clear-lid boxes that show the colors
- Two-piece rigid boxes for luxury and gifting
- Drawer and ribbon boxes for a premium reveal
- Kraft boxes for a natural, artisan patisserie look
Premium branding
Macarons carry a luxury, patisserie image, and the box has to match it. We print full color for elegant, refined branding and add finishes that signal quality: soft-touch lamination, foil, embossing, and spot gloss. A macaron box is very often a gift, so a considered, beautiful box is part of the product, and it is what lets a patisserie charge what these little luxuries are worth.
Sustainable options
Even a luxury treat benefits from clean packaging, so recycled and FSC-certified board, soy and water-based inks, and plastic-free window films are available. A premium macaron box can be both beautiful and low-impact, which increasingly matters to the considered customers who buy them.
Pair it with your bakery range
Macaron boxes sit within our wider bakery packaging range, so a patisserie can brand its whole counter. They pair naturally with our cookie boxes and pastry boxes, so every treat shares one refined look.
